Showcase Oslo
Oslo has the potential of becoming a showcase for more sustainable city-life. That would be good for business.
More and more people live in cities. That could mean more rush traffic, littering, and air pollution, but cities can also be at the forefront of more sustainable living. Living closer together means taking up less space and resources. Combining this with zero-emission technology, optimization of traffic, and transportation of goods and green living spaces, you get a very potent climate solution.
The City Council of Oslo has raised the bar, and emissions must be cut accordingly. The project Showcase Oslo was started in 2019 by the public transport provider Ruter, when Oslo was European Green Capital and is a collaboration between Skift, ZERO, and the local authorities.
